Egypt’s Borg El Arab International Airport has successfully passed the annual Integrated Management System (IMS) review conducted by SGS, a global standards and certification body specialising in safety and quality systems.
Engineer Ayman Fouzy Arab, Chairman of the Egyptian Airports and Air Navigation Holding Company, congratulated the airport staff on securing the certification. This accreditation reflects compliance with ISO 9001:2015 for quality management, ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management, and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety, underscoring the team’s dedication to delivering a superior passenger experience in line with global standards.
Captain Ahmed Mansour, Chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company, noted that this achievement, led by the airport’s director Ahmed Sharaf and compliance and safety head Engineer Yasser Ibrahim, aligns with the company’s commitment to continuous improvement across Egypt’s airports.
The certification demonstrates ongoing efforts to adopt advanced management systems, ensure environmental compliance, and enhance safety and health standards in Egyptian airports.
