CAIRO – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar announced that the 2025 Global Congress on Population, Health and Development (PHDC’25) will be held from November 10 to 13.
He praised at a press conference, held on the sidelines of PHDC’24, the great success achieved by the conference this year in terms of attendance, number of sessions and speakers compared to last year.
He said that this year the event saw the participation of 35,000 people and the training of 4,000 health providers in 37 specializations, pointing out that there were 1,067 speakers in about 165 scientific sessions, and adding that the gathering witnessed during its inaugural session on Sunday the launch of the National Strategy for Health and Development 2024-2030.
He underlined the importance of intensive work on implementing the pillars of the strategy, noting that the PHDC’24 sessions focused on many issues, such as the universal health insurance system, human development, financial inclusion and healthcare, stressing that investment in the health sector comes in light of national needs and priorities.
