CAIRO – Egypt’s Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee has decided to raise the prices of all types of gasoline and diesel fuel.
In a statement released on Friday, the committee announced that new prices per liter were set as follows: EGP 13.75 for 80-octane gasoline, EGP 15.25 for 92-octane gasoline and EGP 17 for 95-octane gasoline, it added.
As per the decision, the price of diesel fuel was increased to EGP 13.50 per liter.
The price of natural gas for Natural gas vehicles (NGVs) is set at EGP 7 per cubic meter, with the price of diesel supplied to power stations and food industries kept unchanged.
According to a press release by the Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry, the committee attributed the increase to the rise of crude fuel price in global markets, petroleum products and exchange price of dollar.
The decision will be effective as of Friday.
