CAIRO – Personal representatives of leaders of BRICS member states will hold preparatory meetings next week in Russia to prepare for BRICS Summit in Kazan. Personal representative of Egyptian president to BRICS and G20 Ragy el-Etribi will lead Egypt’s delegation to the meetings.
Etribi termed the upcoming BRICS Summit as historical saying that Egypt participates for the first time as a full member since it joined the bloc early this year.
The summit is held amidst huge international political and economic challenges in light of the escalating geopolitical conflicts especially the Israeli aggression on Palestine and Lebanon, he said.
The personal representatives will discuss the agenda of Kazan summit and its desired results including pushing forward economic and financial co-operation, he said.
There are clear presidential directives since Egypt’s inclusion in BRICS to make the Egyptian participation in the different events active and effective, he said.
