High security, environmental inspection committee visits Marsa Alam, Hurghada airports 1 - Egyptian Gazette

A high-level security and environmental inspection committee, led by Pilot Montaser Menaa, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, conducted a tour of Marsa Alam and Hurghada International Airports. The committee included representatives from various concerned authorities.

During the visit to Marsa Alam International Airport, the committee was welcomed by Captain Hisham Al-Qashat, the airport manager. The inspection focused on monitoring operational activities at the airport, which currently has a capacity of 1,300 passengers per hour.

The committee evaluated the implemented security and health measures, observed passenger flow within the departure and arrival halls, and ensured the effectiveness of airport security and air traffic operations. They also assessed the quality of services provided to passengers throughout the airport’s facilities.

The committee continued its inspection at Hurghada International Airport, where it was received by Pilot Murad Mohamed, the airport manager. The visit included an assessment of departure and arrival lounges, travel procedures, and operational activities, with the airport currently handling up to 12 million passengers annually. 

The committee inspected the passport control area, duty-free shops, and baggage claim area to ensure smooth processes and the delivery of optimal services to travellers.
