Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar received a detailed report on the measures taken by his ministry in Aswan after detecting cases of gastroenteritis in the hospitals of the governorate.
Spokesman of the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the report pointed out that the central medical team toured different hospitals and followed up the medical services presented to the patients.
The report noted that the medical team visited houses in some villages and talked with their residents on the current situation in their villages.
A virtual workshop was held for the doctors and heads of departments in the hospitals to train them on diagnosis and treatment of gastroenteritis, he said.
The health minister gave directives to raise awareness about gastroenteritis and keep up good hygiene, the spokesman said.
