President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Wednesday telephoned Azali Assoumani of the Comoros to inquire after his health after a failed attempt on his life.
Sisi reiterated Egypt’s denunciation of the heinous attempt to assassinate Azali, said presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
The president voiced full support for the security and stability of the Comoros, Fahmy added.
He said that Azali greatly appreciated the good gesture by Sisi, believing that Egypt’s support for his country reflects deep relations between the two sides.
Both leaders stressed the importance of continued cooperation to boost bilateral ties at all levels, the spokesman added.
