CAIRO – Egyptian Petroleum Minister Karim Badawy has discussed with Italy’s Ambassador to Egypt Michele Quaroni means to cement co-operation between the oil sector and Italian companies in the fields of energy and mining.
The Petroleum Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that Badawy lauded the deeply-rooted energy cooperation between Egypt and Italy.
The minister also praised great roles played by Italian companies, topped by Eni corporation, and their fruitful cooperation with the energy sector.
The meeting also reviewed the petroleum sector’s efforts on carrying out projects related to green energy and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
For his part, the Italian diplomat said his country prioritizes having further cooperation and partnership with Cairo and making more investments in different sectors in Egypt.
