NEW ALAMEIN – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi asserted that Egypt’s win of the World Scout Committee’s membership for the first time ever emanates from the constant support offered by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the government to the sports and youth system.
The achievement reflects the prestigious position of the scout movement in the country and crowns tireless efforts exerted by the movement over years, added Sobhi.
At a cabinet’s meeting, led by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Thursday, the minister talked about the outcome of Egypt’s hosting of the 43rd World Scout Conference.
The conference brings together delegates from Member Organisations in 174 countries to Cairo, Egypt.
As the first in-person conference since 2017, the event provides a unique opportunity for scouts to reconnect, collaborate, exchange ideas, and strengthen unity.
