CAIRO – Egyptian Planning Minister Hala el-Saeed said that the state is working on forming a precise, updated and full database to empower women in the decision-making and leading positions in all the Egyptian facilities.
This came in Saeed’s statements on the occasion of launching a website on an initiative to include women in decision-making positions by the Ministry of Planning in co-operation with the National Council for Women.
Saeed said that the initiative has several aims including putting the necessary policies to boost the role of women.
The initiative also aims at determining the per cent of women participation in the leading positions and decision-making in the past few years, she said.
Said asserted the pivotal role of women in the economic activity, pointing out to promoting political empowerment of women.
