Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday issued directives to set up a crisis cell chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli to follow up on the death of Egyptian pilgrims while performing Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia.
The president’s directives come within the framework of his keenness to express support and sympathy for the families of the deceased pilgrims.
President Sisi stressed the need for immediate coordination with the Saudi authorities to facilitate the return of pilgrims’ bodies and provide all necessary facilitation in this regard.
The Presidency extended condolences to the victims’ families, emphasizing the government’s commitment to offering all needed support during this tragic incident.
