Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Mohamed Zaki, held talks on Tuesday with the visiting Equatorial Guinea’s First Vice President, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed topics of mutual interest, including the transfer and exchange of expertise between the armed forces of both countries.

General Zaki expressed Egypt’s pride in its longstanding and historic relations with Equatorial Guinea. He emphasised the Armed Forces’ commitment to expanding military co-operation and coordinating efforts with African nations across various fields.

Vice President Obiang praised Egypt’s active role in supporting African issues. He said he looks forward to strengthening military co-operation with Egypt.

The meeting was attended by the Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar and several senior military officials.
