Egypt’s Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expats’ Affairs Soha el-Gendi announced the launch of a link for Egyptian students in Kyrgyzstan to register their information to be able to reach them out.

In a statement on Thursday, she said close coordination is under way with the bodies concerned to ensure the safety of all Egyptian expats in Kyrgyzstan, especially students.

Gendi said that a 24/7 operations room had been following up on the situation in Kyrgyzstan.

She said the online form will help following up on the conditions of the students abroad as authorities can keep accurate record of their numbers and make up the plans needed to ensure their safety and security.

She called on Egyptian students in Kyrgystan to adhere to the instructions of the ministries of interior and education there.
