Cairo- Egyptian Minister of Military Production Ministry Mohammed Ahmed Morsi hailed efforts to strengthen co-operation ties with Pakistan in combating terrorism and extremism.
The minister’s remarks came during his meeting Tuesday with chairman of Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), Lt-Gen Ali Amir Awan. Pakistani Ambassador in Cairo Sajid Bilal and deputy chairman of the National Authority of Military Production Mohamed Salehddin Mostafa attended the meeting.
Morsi reviewed the technological and manufacturing potentials of the production ministry and highlighted the ministry’s role in supplying the armed forces.
He extended an invitation to Pakistani companies to take part in the international defence fair, also known as Egypt Defence Expo – EDEX 2021, which is due to be held in Cairo later this year.
Lt-Gen Awan said his country is interested in cooperating with the Military Production Ministry and its affiliate companies to exchange expertise in the fields of technology, manufacturing and research.
