The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, met on Sunday Hoda Yassa, president of the Arab Women Investors Union and member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the Kazan International Economic Forum.

Themed ‘Russia – the Islamic World’, the forum is held in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan.

President Minnikhanov expressed happiness with Yassa’s patriotism.

Throughout the forum, he said, the head of the Union of Arab Women Investors carried the Egyptian flag and emphasised in her speech her sincere support to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and her country.

This, he said, made it difficult for everybody to reject any of her requests.

The president of the Republic of Tatarstan stressed the distinguished participation and remarkable co-operation of the government and businessmen and women in the Union Conference.

Yassa shed light on the possibility of joint investment opportunities through the Union of Arab Women Investors, which is a gateway for them with African countries.

She noted the existence of co-operation between the Union and high-level figures in Central Africa, the Congo, Nigeria and Mauritania
