RAMALLAH – A large number of settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday morning, under the protection of Israeli occupation police, marking the second day of the so-called Jewish “Purim Festivities.”

The Islamic Waqf Department reported that dozens of settlers breached Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Moroccan Gate side, closely guarded by occupation police.

Additionally, the settlers conducted provocative tours within the mosque’s courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals, all under the watchful eye of occupation police.

Furthermore, Israeli occupation forces also stormed the Qibli prayer hall to secure the settlers’ access to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Witnesses noted that occupation police heightened security measures at Al-Aqsa’s gates and the main gates of Old Jerusalem. They turned away young men and denied them entry into Al-Aqsa during this period.
