Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi commended the Armed Forces’ efforts to help in achieving comprehensive development, providing a decent life for citizens nationwide and safeguarding national security amid current challenges.
Sisi made the remarks during his participation in an annual Iftar banquet to commemorate the anniversary of 10th of Ramadan victory (October War Victory) on Tuesday.
The president said the Egyptian people highly value the sacrifices made by the army personnel to maintain homeland security and protect the nation’s territorial integrity.
President Sisi extended greetings to the Armed Forces and all Egyptians on the anniversary of 10th of Ramadan victory, which embodies the values of heroism and sacrifice.
The president also paid tribute to the servicemen who sacrificed their souls and blood to defend the nation and move ahead with the development process.
The Ramadan Iftar banquet was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Parliament Speaker Hanafy Gebaly, Senate Speaker Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El-Tayyeb, Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and St. Mark Diocese, Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Osama Askar and a number of ministers and governors, as well as police and army commanders.
