Egyptian Defence Minister Mohamed Zaki, witnessed the end of the military training period for the 120th batch of cadets at the Egyptian Military Academy and other military colleges. The ceremony was also attended by Chief-of-Staff Osama Askar, and a number of commanders of the main branches and officers of the Armed Forces.

The celebration began with a sports performance by groups of fresh cadets, which included displays of combat skills, self-defence, and close combat, as well as karate, equestrianism, and cycling. These displays showed the cadets’ physical and mental readiness and the high level of training they have received.

In his speech at the end of the ceremony, Minister Zaki conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the new students and their families. He also praised the performance of the cadets, who are taking their first steps towards a military life with all its tasks and responsibilities.

He stressed the importance of upholding the principles, values, and traditions of the Armed Forces in order to keep Egypt as a safe and stable country that supports the Arab causes, especially the Palestinian issue.

He also lauded the efforts of the students’ families in raising their children on the values and principles of the great Egyptian people.
