At the intersection of social commerce, AI-assisted digital transformation and blockchain, the launch of Mazadat kicks off a new era in the field of social e-commerce. As the first of its kind in the MEA region, starting with Egypt, Mazadat brings an innovative X2C auctioning and e-commerce marketplace platform where individuals (C2C) and businesses (B2C) sell their items and products using a time-boxed auction, a fixed-price Buy-Now listing or a hybrid format, while buyers enjoy the combined variety of offerings in one place.
Mazadat develops and operates an African-flavored Arabic/English auctioning platform and ecommerce marketplace which empowers businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs as well as private individuals to sell and buy, anything, used or new, by auction or directly, seamlessly through their mobile phones. It bridges innovatively the online and offline worlds through complementing the online platform with an ever-expanding network of physical service centers to enable efficient, convenient, safe, and secure drop-offs and pick-ups of goods and orders.
“Mazadat’s mission is to improve lives and affordability, increase sustainability and catalyze cyclic and inclusive economies through encouraging reuse, optimizing supply-demand elasticity in the marketplace for profit-maximizing faster capital cycles, fostering efficient value chains, and reducing waste and emissions due to omittable transport of goods. Backed by amazing ESG-driven impact angel investors and supported by a stellar dedicated team, I could not be more excited to see Mazadat successfully launching its world-class online platform and having its first service centers operational in Greater Cairo, and I look forward to the next phase,” said Dr. Karim Badawi, founder and CEO of Mazadat.
Mazadat first launched as a pilot at the end of 2021, followingly, the platform went into public beta in November 2021, and now the platform has debuted its public release. Currently, Mazadat is available through mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms, with the web application to be released soon. During this short period of time, Mazadat was able to turn heads, gaining new users everyday as more and more people become aware of the platform. The most common review that keeps everyone’s head high at Mazadat, is how fast, easy, and secure the shopping and selling experience is.
“Our customers’ experience is our main priority, and our service point network concept enables us to provide them with the convenience, personal safety, security, privacy and anonymity they need. This resonated with our users from the very first minute and helped us monetize the platform from day one. As for businesses, our transparent business model creates win-win risk-free partnership opportunities for growth. Additionally, our service center network has a two-fold benefit, such that businesses of all sizes can take advantage of a variety of value-added vendor support services in the areas of logistics, storage, and order fulfillment,” said Sherif Elmahdy, co-founder and COO of Mazadat.
Through advanced proprietary technologies, Mazadat is powered by an extensive product suite that places a paper-less full digitalization solution for end-to-end e-commerce operations processes in the hand of its users and business partners at no additional cost.
“At Mazadat, our design and technology teams look beyond developing cool shopper mobile applications. Building a cloud-native Arabic/English mobile-first platform utilizing state-of-the-art technologies for business process digitalization has been a core objective of the R&D team at Mazadat. At this age and time, digitalization, data analytics and artificial intelligence are key enablers to unlocking efficiency, growth, and great user experience,” added Taimir Aguacil, co-founder and CTO of Mazadat.
The first of its kind platform plans to expand its operations and service center network roll-out to the rest of Egypt, and simultaneously run market-driven pilots in other countries of the MEA region soon. Moreover, it is working on closing more strategic partnerships with business complementors in the ecosystem to offer its users with more benefits and options.
