CAIRO – Chairperson of the Supreme Council of the Arab Women Organisation and President of the National Council of Women Maya Morsi said the political determination will always remain the “password” to set the stage for upgrading the status of women and making them a clear national political priority.

Morsi’s remarks were made while participating in the 21th ordinary meeting of the Executive Council of AWO on Monday.

Morsi thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for supporting and backing the Egyptian women and defending their rights out of belief that women empowerment is a national duty.

Egyptian women are now living an unprecedented golden age thanks to the support they enjoy under the wide leadership of president Sisi, she went on to say.

Several achievements were made over the past years, Morsi said, adding Egypt attained a tangible progress in many indexes of the 2030 National Strategy for Egyptian Women Empowerment.
