Jordanian King Abdullah II called President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday to congratulate him on his re-election to a third term.
King Abdullah reiterated Jordan’s commitment to deepening and strengthening its historical ties with Egypt both bilaterally and in the framework of consultation and coordination on the challenges facing the region, particularly the need to find a political solution for the Palestinian issue.
President Sisi thanked King Abdullah for his brotherly gesture, and praised the strong and solid relations binding Egypt and Jordan at the official and popular levels. He also reiterated Egypt’s commitment to working towards a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue.
