Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki met Monday with Madagascar’s Minister of National Defense Josoa Rakotoarijaona and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces (CEMA) Sahivelo Lala Monja Delphin.
The meeting, which was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Osama Askar, was held during the proceedings of the first day of EDEX 2023 defense exhibition, which will run until December 7.
The defense minister also meet with Defense Minister of the Central African Republic (CAR) Rameaux-Claude Bireau South African Minister of Defense and Military Veterans Thandi Modise.
The meeting tackled the latest regional and international developments along with a host of issues of mutual interest.
EDEX is the largest defense exhibition in Africa. It is held every two years in Cairo. The 2023 edition of the exhibition featured more than 1,000 exhibitors from 50 countries
