Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said he is keen on regularly following upon the implementation works of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the development operations in the surrounding area.
The move is meant to remove any obstacles and push forward the work pace, added Madbouli at a meeting to review the executive situation of the GEM’s project Thursday.
The General Supervisor of the GEM Atef Moftah provided a presentation about the fulfilment of the project and the completed works including the main building, the museum and service parts, surrounding buildings, entry building, tickets building, the restaurant, parks and parking spaces.
The premier was also briefed on ongoing works which include the museum’s main display hall and the Khufu ships museum.
