EgyptAir is set to sign deals for 18 new aircraft at the Dubai Airshow, which will Kick off on Monday.
The airline is expected to sign a contract to purchase 10 Airbus A350s and a contract to lease 18 Boeing 737-800 MAXs. The deals are part of EgyptAir’s plan to modernise and expand its fleet to meet growing demand.
EgyptAir has seen a sharp increase in passenger numbers in recent months, driven by the reopening of international travel and the launch of new routes. The airline has also been investing in new technology and services to improve its customer experience.
The new aircraft will be used to add new routes and frequencies to existing destinations. EgyptAir is also looking to expand its cargo operations.
The Dubai Airshow is the world’s largest aerospace exhibition and conference. It is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors from over 150 countries.
The A350 is a long-range wide-body aircraft that can seat up to 300 passengers. EgyptAir plans to use the A350s on routes to Europe, North America and Asia.
The 737-800 MAX is a narrow-body aircraft that can seat up to 220 passengers. EgyptAir plans to use the 737-800 MAXs on routes to Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The new aircraft will help EgyptAir to meet growing demand and expand its network. The deals are also a sign of confidence in the Egyptian economy and the country’s tourism industry.
