Malaysia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Foreign Minister Zambry bin Abdul Kadir thanked the Egyptian government for its genuine efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
This came during a ceremony to mark the dispatch of the first shipment of Malaysian humanitarian aid to the war-ravaged Gaza Strip, which took place at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, with the participation of Egyptian Ambassador in Kuala Lumpur Rajai Nasr, as well as senior officials of the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Palestinian Ambassador in Kuala Lumpur and the ambassadors of a number of Islamic countries.
In a statement by the Malaysian Foreign Ministry on its Facebook page, the foreign minister lauded the distinguished ties between the two countries’ leaderships, stressing the importance of benefiting of this matter in providing assistance to the Palestinian people.
