CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of International Co-operation Rania el-Mashat conferred on Tuesday with a visiting delegation of the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) on the current and future co-operation in the various development fields in light of the strategic partnership between Egypt and South Korea.

 

During the five-day visit of the Korean delegation, a coordination meeting was held between the two sides in the presence of officials from the South Korean Embassy in Cairo and bodies concerned from Egypt, such as the Ministry of Transport, the Electricity Ministry, the Finance Ministry as well as the National Academy for Training for the steps that should be taken as regards future projects of various domains of concern to both sides.

 

A number of development projects are currently funded by the Korean side, including the railway project of developing signals of Nagaa Hamadi-Luxor line with a dlrs 115 fund from the Korean bank as well as supplying and manufacturing of 32 metro train carriages along with other projects in the railway sector.
