The government is working round the clock to carry out directives from President Abdel Fattah el Sisi directives to speed up the implementation of projects that reflect Egypt’s greatness after the New Administrative Capital (NAC) finally takes shape.

The prime minister congratulated Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on his re-election for a second term and Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs Ghada Wali for being selected for such a high-profile post.

The cabinet has approved a draft resolution permitting the establishment of tourist projects in the investment zone in el-Wadi village in the Giza town of Saff.

Another draft resolution to establish the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Fayoum University was also approved, as well as a draft presidential decree granting pardons to some prisoners on the occasion of the Sinai Liberation Day and Eid al-Fitr (the end of Ramadan festival).

The cabinet consented on a three-year agreement signed by the Finance Ministry and the e-Finance Company to develop a website for a fund that will subsidise the purchase of natural gas-powered vehicles to replace older ones that run on petrol.

Madbouli also gave instructions for the vaccination of private sector medical teams against Covid-19.

Health Minister Hala Zayed reviewed efforts to deal with the pandemic, noting that providing vaccines to all medical teams come top of her the ministry’s priorities.

Zayed also reviewed the situation vaccine exports through a Covax initiative.
