CAIRO – Duchess of Cornwall, the wife of Prince Charles of Wales, on Friday visited Brooke Hospital For Animals, located in El Sayeda Zeinab district.
The Duchess of Cornwall toured the hospital and hailed the working mechanism at it.
The royal talked with the hospital’s officials and doctors and posed for a photo op with them. Then they dedicated her a souvenir.
In 1934, Dorothy Brooke, the wife of a British Army Major General, founded the Old War Horse Memorial Hospital in Cairo, with the promise of free veterinary care for all the city’s working horses and donkeys. It is the first of its kind to be established in Egypt.
