CAIRO – The cabinet’s media centre has denied circulated reports on a large reduction in government expenditures allocated to health and education sectors.
In a statement on Tuesday, the cabinet media centre explained that it has contacted the Finance Ministry which refuted such claims.
The Finance Ministry reiterated that there is a notable rise in government annual allocations for health and education, adding that the volume of health expenditures in the new state budget for 2021-2022 reached to LE108.8 bn compared with LE93.5 bn in the previous fiscal year.
Expenditures of education in the new state budget reached to LE172.6 billion compared with LE157.6 billion in the previous budget.
