Sheikh Mohamed stresses full support for boosting ties with Egypt

DUBAI – UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashed Al Maktoum underlined his full support for enhancing ties with Egypt which has a special historical position in the hearts of the UAE people.
He expressed happiness for receiving Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, noting that he forwarded greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi whom “we all love”.
Madbouli and Sheikh Mohamed met while visiting Expo 2020 Dubai. The meeting was attended by Egyptian Ministers Hala el Saeed of Planning and Economic Development, Asem Gazzar of Housing, Utilities and New Communities, and Nivine Gamea of Trade and Industry.
Sheikh Mohamed – who doubles as the Ruler of Dubai – expressed admiration for Egypt’s establishment of more than 20 new smart cities.
For his part, Madbouli said it was a great challenge to achieve such an unprecedented urban leap that required great efforts.
He added that “Decent Life” project is the largest and most important project launched by President Sisi to improve the quality of life of more than half of Egypt’s population living in the countryside. Sheikh Mohamed lauded the project.
Madbouli conveyed President Sisi’s greetings to the UAE leadership and government, wishing the UAE people to enjoy prosperity.
He hailed the development realized by the UAE, noting that what he saw at the Expo 2020 was a source of pride for all Arabs.
He hailed the UAE pavilion’s focus on the history of establishing the state and the different stages of its development.
At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed granted to Madbouli a copy of a book entitled “Qesati” or “My Story” which narrates 50 stories of Sheikh Mohamed over 50 years.
