Egypt’s Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs Dr. Awad Tag Eddin said that so far, 14 million citizens have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
In statements on Friday, Tag Eddin underlined that he accompanied Health Minister Hala Zayed during her recent visit to Germany’s Stuttgart city.
The visit was very successful, he said, citing contracts with Mercedes-Benz company, under which Egypt will get ambulances and medical equipment.
Some 1,500 vehicles will start arriving in October and will continue through to April 2022, he noted.
On Tuesday, Health Minister Hala Zayed headed to Germany, leading a high-ranking delegation on a four-day visit to discuss means of enhancing health cooperation between the two countries.
