Defense chief back home after taking part in IDEX 2021
Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaki and his accompanying delegation flew back home Thursday after taking part in the 15th International Defense Exhibition and Conference 2021 (IDEX 2021) and the maritime exhibition NAVDEX2021, which were held in Abu Dhabi during the past days.
Minister Zaki praised the excellent level of organisation of the exhibition this year despite the challenges the world is facing due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Minister Zaki held a meeting UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Mohamed Al-Bouardi during which they discussed the military cooperation and ways to strengthen defense relations between both countries.
The minister also met with Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces Lieutenant General Hamad Al Rumaithi and stressed that organising such exhibitions enhances cooperation and partnerships between countries in the military and technological fields.
In the same context, Minister Zaki met defense ministers from Serbia and Cyprus as well as French minister of the armed forces where they exchanged views on ways to strengthen cooperation frameworks in various military fields. They also exchange views on issues of common interest.
