Within the framework of the Egyptian government’s orientation and confirmation of the initiative of the Central Bank of Egypt “mechanizing and digitizing payments and collections”, Damen for electronic payment solutions and the drinking water company in Alexandria signed a partnership contract to facilitate electronic payment services and provide multiple payment methods.
The partnership contract was signed in the presence of Engineer / Ahmed Jaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alexandria Water Company and Dr. / Tamer Al-Husseiny, CEO and Managing Director of Damen Company, and a group of leaders of the two companies.
Engineer Ahmed Jaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alexandria Water Company, confirmed that his company, one of the companies affiliated with the drinking water holding company, is keen to develop the collection and payment system for the consumption bills by the collectors of the water company, using Damen machines for electronic payment (POS) And these machines are for collection and readings, and they require the reader and the recipient to be present in front of the water meter to record the correct reading, which helps to ensure that the citizen is held accountable for the actual consumption, and this comes in line with the state plan and the directives of the company holding drinking water and sanitation, towards the speedy completion of the procedures for digital transformation And electronic payment.
Dr. Tamer Al-Husseiny, CEO and Managing Director of Damen Company, stressed that the partnership took place due to the experiences and successes of Damen company in Egypt in providing electronic payment solutions in order to facilitate paying bills for citizens and various collections and to facilitate the Alexandria Water Company, by using Electronic payment machines (POS) They are used for the immediate collection of invoices, allowing printing of the bill to the customer, partial payment of the bill and this system works on the network whether online or offline, which ensures the continuity of work in all locations, and facilitating payment for our customers everywhere as well as providing different and variable payment methods.
