Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Monday said that the government has managed to overcome a set of challenges facing the health sector with a view to improving health care services offered to citizens.
The minister made the remarks during a session titled “Social Justice and Health” as part of the activities of the “Story of A Homeland: Between Vision and Achievement” Conference, currently taking place in the New Administrative Capital with participation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
He pointed out to the serious attempts by the workers of the Health Ministry towards offering medical care to citizens, amid the high cost of treatment.
The government has faced multiple challenges to secure the provision of treatment and setting up health projects and new hospitals, alongside renovating the already existing ones in order to cope with developments of the health sector, the minister added.
