BERLIN – Egyptian Ambassador to Germany Khaled Galal asserted on Monday the depth of Egypt-Germany relations and vistas of joint co-operation, saying Egypt-Germany ties have developed at all levels.
Joint collaboration between Egypt and Germany does not only include the promotion of economic, developmental, scientific and cultural partnerships, but it has expanded to include new sectors in different domains, he said.
He pointed out to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in India, which, he added is showing the strength of bilateral relations binding Egypt and Germany.
In press remarks on the sidelines of “we connect with music” celebration, which was organised by German Universities in Berlin on Monday, Galal said a new agreement was reached for establishing 100 German schools in Egypt similar to Japanese schools and a vista for bilateral co-operation was developed as the Egyptian state will be in charge of building the educational institutions in co-operation with the private sector.
The German side will be responsible for curricula supervision, the diplomat said, adding that another deal was prepared bringing together the Egyptian high education ministry and the German education ministry for the exchange of university students and the swap of experiences.
An agreement for establishing a higher council for education between the two countries will be signed to be in charge of coordinating and co-operating between both sides, according to him.
