The Mixed Martial Arts Championship came to the southeast coast of Sinai.
The championship was held in Dahab as part of the Sinai, Capital of Peace Festival on 13-16 September.
Professionals from Egypt, Russia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, Yemen, Sudan and Chile took part in fourteen matches for the event, which was held under the auspices of the Ministries of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA), the Ministry of Youth and Sports and South Sinai Governorate.
“The ministry’s sponsoring this event is to promote sports tourism,” said Iman Abdel Rahman, Director General of the Tourism Awareness Administration at the ETA.
“The festival included trips of championship participants to Dahab and Sharm el-Sheikh,” she added.
