Egypt has sent three military planes carrying large quantities of humanitarian aid as well as medical supplies and search and rescue teams and working groups from the Egyptian Red Crescent to Libya to assist in mitigating the effects of Storm Daniel that left large numbers of people dead and injured.
The move comes in response to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to immediately provide support and humanitarian aid to Libya.
It also comes in light of Egypt’s solidarity with the Libyan people in the wake of this calamity.
