Egypt’s Minister of Culture Nevine el-Kilani toured on Sunday the Culture Oasis project in 6 October City, affiliated to the Cairo Opera House.
During the tour, she followed up progress of preparations for its official openingearly next year.
During the tour, the minister inspected the administrative building, training and exhibition halls, stores and theatre.
Kilani said that the Culture Oasis will provide a modern cultural and discover local talent.
All construction work must be competed within the coming months, the minister said.
Kilani praised the unique construction work, which was designed according to international standards.
On his part, the head of the Opera said that 85 per cent of the building work has been completed.
He said that the Minister of Culture directed concerned bodies to use the technology to benefit from this project throughout the year, adding that the theatre is surrounded by facilities for ballet, concerts, practice rooms, halls for art exhibitions and a 500-space car park.
He added that the project covers 26000 square metres.
