During H1 of 2023, EgyptAir fleet up by 15% to reach 76 aircraft

EgyptAir announced an increase in the size of its fleet by 15% in the first half of this year, compared to the same period in 2022.

The company added, in an infographic that monitors the results of EgyptAir’s business in the first half of this year, that the size of the EgyptAir fleet reached 76 aircraft, distributed among 29 B737-800 aircraft and 6 B777-300 aircraft.

EgyptAir’s fleet also includes 6 B787-9, 12 A220-300, 8 A320 NEO, 4 A330-300 and the same A330-200, as well as two Airbus 321neo and two Airbus 320-200, and 3 A330-200P2F aircraft.

The national company pointed out that the number of destinations to which EgyptAir operates reached 71 destinations in the first half of this year, an increase of 10% over the same period last year.

During the recent period, EgyptAir has been witnessing a boom, whether in terms of launching new lines or achieving the highest levels of safety and quality.

EgyptAir Holding Company succeeded in passing the renewal of the accreditation of the ISAGO Headquarters Certificate without recording any points of mismatch or observations by the inspection team.

Yehia Zakaria, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, extended his sincere congratulations to the employees of the holding company and the ISAGO team for their efforts and cooperation with the Inspection Committee of the International Air Transport Association, which had a great impact in renewing the accreditation of the ISAGO certificate for the central administration.

He also praised the excellence of the workers in applying the highest safety rates in line with international standards.

Zakaria added that these international accreditations confirm the status of the national carrier at the regional and international levels and contribute to attracting more EgyptAir customers from passengers, as well as foreign and Arab airlines to provide service to them.

For his part, Gilbert Limatri, head of the audit team, praised the level of performance of all EgyptAir employees in various fields and the good preparation for the audit.

The team also praised the level of performance in general and the level of training of all employees in various activities, which confirms the interest of senior management in developing the human element that performs business and provides services with the highest level of quality and professionalism.

The team also indicated that EgyptAir has surpassed the European airlines that it has audited during the past three years in the field of occupational safety and health, as it has implemented the requirements developed for the occupational safety and health program in accordance with the requirements of ISAGO in an integrated manner and by passing through the activities of passenger and aircraft service at sites the job.

The reviews included all ground service activities to serve passengers and aircraft, station activities, security service, air cargo activities and cargo loading through the application of all safety and quality procedures at all levels.

As a continuation of the development plan pursued by EgyptAir, which comes at the top of its priorities, EgyptAir organized a celebration of the launch of the new distribution channel system NDC (EGYPTAIR Retailing System), which aims at direct communication in a more advanced manner with tourism agents inside and outside Egypt.

The project aims to increase the chances of offering and selling the company’s products and additional services better than it is now through global distribution systems (GDSs), in cooperation with the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The platform for EgyptAir, ers.egyptair.com, also allows the provision of all services with a variety of content, such as displaying high-quality photos or videos, as well as displaying flight times and prices.

The NDC program also enhances the ability to communicate between airlines and travel agents (B2B), whether approved (IATA) or non-accredited (Non-IATA) tourism companies.

The company is also working hard to expand the network of lines that reach it directly, as EgyptAir Airlines, headed by pilot Mohamed Moussa, recently added to its network the Dhaka line in Bangladesh and New Jersey in North America.

EgyptAir also announced the operation of its latest airline to Manchester, England, last July as well as a line to Delhi, India, this August.

These new lines represent additional expansion points for EgyptAir’s network in Asia and Europe, and serve new customers of the company around the world.
