Egypt’s Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation exerts great efforts to support agricultural exports as several new markets have been opened in past years, spokesman for the ministry Mohamed el Kersh said.
He told MENA on Saturday that the agricultural exports reached more than 80 new markets, totaling at 163 markets worldwide.
Egypt’s agricultural exports totaled 4,654,246 tons from January 1 to July 5, an increase by 717,896 tons compared with the same period last year, said Kersh.
Egypt’s citrus exports hit 1,900,000 tons for the first time thanks to such great efforts exerted by the ministry, he added.
