CAIRO – Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Moulla discussed with a delegation of the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) the company’s activities to explore in the Gabal El Zeit and Ras el Kanais areas as well as opportunities to increase its investments in Egypt.
During the meeting, Moulla said that the recent discoveries at Geisum Field assert that Egypt owns distinguished opportunities to increase petroleum production in new and existing fields.
He noted that petroleum sector is working according to a clear strategy that provides all facilitations required to expand discovering activities as well as increasing petroleum production.
While KUFPEC Manager in Euro-Africa Region Tareq Ebrahim asserted the company’s keenness on partnering with Egypt in various activities especially after doubling the daily production of Geisum field from 9,000 to 18,000 barrels.
