During a media roundtable, Intel Egypt presented the company’s achievements over the past period, ranging from collaborations with various Egyptian Ministries to other projects with the private sector, aiming to support the Egyptian government’s digital transformation plans, along with achieving Egypt’s vision 2030.

Nour El-Din Zaki, Country Lead, Intel Egypt, elaborated that even though Intel is a global company, it has been operating in the Egyptian market for 20 years, adopting an ambitious mindset for national projects, along with enhancing the technological infrastructure in Egypt.

Nour further explained that Intel is currently working with The Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology on multiple strategic projects to leverage innovative technologies in analyzing major national challenges and allocating the necessary solutions to overcome them. The collaboration also focuses on advancing the ICT sector in Egypt by upskilling local talents and professionals in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, high-performance computing, Automation and Robotics, Internet of Things and Cybersecurity, therefore driving the establishment of advanced local companies capable of implementing major governmental projects and supporting both, the local and international private sectors.

On another note, Intel is also cooperating with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on several workshops and events focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence to prepare and train students for the future workplace. In addition, Intel’s efforts have reached the banking sector where the company is progressively advancing integrated Cybersecurity systems in multiple governmental Egyptian banks.

As for corporate social responsibility, Nour explained that Intel is working towards maximizing responsible practices across its manufacturing operations in order to reach sustainable computing along with its commitments to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. Intel is also investing in renewable electricity and reinforcing its commitment to responsible AI practices that protect communities from fraud and counterfeiting. Intel’s Country Lead also confirmed that Intel’s technologies are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2023, especially when it comes to renewable energy, Sustainability, Education, Gender Equality, Empowerment, and health-related goals.

Last but not least, Nour also highlighted Intel’s strategic partnership with Benya Systems, considering the mutual alignment on the infrastructure-empowering capabilities of the ‘5 Superpowers’ within services or manufacturing industries. The 5 Technology Superpowers that Intel believes in are focused on bridging the physical and digital worlds through increasing the availability of computing devices and chips everywhere, promoting the widespread of digital connectivity, cloud computing and connectivity, increasing reliance on Artificial Intelligence and sensing. As a result of the fruitful cooperation, Intel and Benya Systems have successfully implemented multiple mega projects in Egypt and various Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, and The UAE.
