Assistant Rapporteur of Trade Unions and Civil Society Committee of the National Dialogue Magdy el Badawi on Monday asserted the role of the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in achieving the sustainable development goals.
The participants of the National Dialogue sessions have reached a consensus regarding the significance of boosting the activities of the NGOs, turning them into a key partner in the development process of the society and building the new republic, Badawy said in statements to MENA.
Sessions of the National Dialogue have addressed the possibility of attaining “Egypt Vision 2030” through the civil societies, through considering them an integral part of the development process, Badway added.
He added that the activities of the NGOs could be expanded beyond their current humanitarian and charitable approach to entail valuable tangible contributions to the ongoing development process, through removing all obstacles hindering such an expansion.
