The Food Export Council announced an increase by 22 per cent in exports of the sector to EU countries in the first four months of the current year to 262 million dollars.
A report by the council said on Wednesday that food exports to the EU jumped by 30 percent in 2022 to 823 million dollars, compared to 634 million dollars in 2021.
The report added that as many as 768 Egyptian companies are exporting foodstuffs to EU in 2022 .
Topping the list is exports of strawberries, which saw a surge of 19 percent, recording at 154 million dollars, according to the report.
