CAIRO/MOSCOW – Head of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation Amr el Qadi said that Russia is one of the most important tourist markets for Egypt as it came in second place in terms of the number of inbound tourist arrivals in Egypt during 2022.
This came during his meeting with a number of tourist operators in the Russian market at the Egyptian embassy in Moscow, in presence of Egyptian ambassador in Moscow Nazih el-Nagari.
The two sides discussed promoting cooperation between the authority and tour operators in the Russian market by organizing joint advertising campaigns and the aviation incentive program to increase tourist flows from Russia to Egypt.
They also reviewed efforts made by the Egyptian State to promote the Egyptian tourist destination, he added.
Qadi held a meeting with representatives of the Association of Tour Operators in Russia (ATOR) to discuss strengthening cooperation with the association and the possibility of holding its next annual meeting in Egypt.
