Transport Minister Kamel El Wazir on Saturday inspected the work sites of a development project for expanding and upgrading Wadi El Natroun-Al Alamein road.
The minister was accompanied by respective officials during his inspection tour to follow up the implementation progress of the project, urging to speed up carrying out all development works.
The Transport Ministry said in a statement that the development of the main road is set to be completed by June 25, while the service road will be completed by August 30 to ease traffic and reduce road accidents.
The development of the 135-km length road is part of the national project to upgrade roads and includes the construction of 11 bridges.
