Head of the National Press Authority, Abdel-Sadek El-Shorbagy, reiterated Wednesday that the authority spares no effort to support the national press institutions, as it has been keen over the past year to follow up the performance of the press institutions financially and administratively.
El-Shorbagy’s statements came as he met a delegation from the General Union of Press, Printing and Media Workers headed by Magdy El-Badawi. Members of the NPA Walid Abdel-Aziz and Osama Abu Basha and heads of union committees in national press institutions were present in the meeting.
For his part, NPA head also said the authority do not hesitate to open and resolve all thorny files, a matter that was clearly reflected on the performance of the institutions.
El-Badawi, for his part, said that the authority is keen on the interest of national press institutions and all its employees, and that the union communicates permanently with the authority to resolve any problems.
The attendees praised the efforts made by the authority and its head, especially the training courses that are organised for workers in press institutions.
They also called on the authority to organise training courses for members of union committees in the institutions and to hold periodic meetings with the NPA to raise the problems facing the employees inside such institutions.
