WASHINGTON – US State Secretary Antony J. Blinken and Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson had talks on means of confronting common challenges and global issues, including climate change and Covid-19 pandemic.
The US State Department said in a statement on Friday that the talks took place during Blinken’s visit to Sweden to participate in meetings of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
“We’re also grateful for Sweden’s leadership around the world, and that was manifested today at the OSCE meetings that you’ve been hosting and that Sweden’s been leading for the last year,” Blinken said.
He added the United States deeply values this partnership and he looks forward to talking about it.
