The past nine editions of the “Union Fortress” have showcased exceptional collaboration between the Ministry of Defence and several federal and local government entities across the UAE to organise military parades that have travelled to different emirates since the inaugural event held at Abu Dhabi Corniche in March 2017.
Now in its 10th edition, the final preparations are underway for the “Union Fortress 10” military parade, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
With the theme “Pride and Loyalty, Pledge and Allegiance, Security and Prosperity”, 45 governmental, semi-governmental, and private entities are collaborating with the Ministry of Defence to ensure the event’s success and deliver it professionally.
Preparations are in full swing for the current edition of the military parade, set to take place in Al Ain City on Friday, 13th December, at 4 pm. The show arena, located at Al Ain International Airport, has been equipped to accommodate 26,000 attendees.
Key forces, including the Land Force, Air Force and Air Defence, Presidential Guard, Joint Aviation, National Guard, and Abu Dhabi Police, have joined forces with the Ministry of Defence, along with other supporting entities from governmental, semi-governmental, and private sectors, fostering seamless interaction among the participating forces.
This coordination reflects a unified vision and emphasises the importance of teamwork among the nation’s entities to ensure national security and stability.
These preparations underscore the commitment of the Armed Forces and security agencies to demonstrate their readiness and highlight the high level of professionalism of their personnel. This further solidifies the “Union Fortress” as a premier national event that showcases the strength and unity of the nation’s institutions and the excellence of its Armed Forces.
The Ministry of Defence will also launch an entertainment village for children and families at the event site. Open to the public from 10 am to 10 pm, the village will feature various events and entertainment activities, in addition to a dedicated space where visitors of all ages can learn more about the role of the Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation and its gains.
The Organising Committee aims to engage the public and enhance awareness by using the military parade as a platform to connect with the community and foster a sense of national pride among UAE citizens and residents alike.
