LONDON – UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy called on Iran to exercise restraint following US strikes on its nuclear sites in past hours, Sky News reported Sunday.
In a post on “X” platform, the UK foreign secretary said the UK did not take part in the strikes.
Lammy called for a diplomatic solution to end the crisis.
He added that Iran should never acquire a nuclear weapon, noting that the US had taken measures to reduce the threat such a development could pose to the international community.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump announced that the US had launched an attack on three Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.
